Datura assists us with honestly looking at the death and decay in our lives, embracing fear and terror for transmutation into light. The word visionary is used here because her medicine aids in clear sight, piercing through all illusions. There is a peace that comes in working with Datura as she reminds us of our point in this cosmic time-space spiral. She helps us to “trumpet” our energy, to recognize, implement and expand our authentic voice when we feel lost, confused or when we feel like we are screaming into a void; She is a teacher for those seeking to hold their auric field as a crystalline pillar of light. Datura is a wonderful ally for awakening us to what wishes to be shed, encouraging us to do so with grace. She helps us to embrace our inner elders, to draw upon the innate wisdom of the Crone and our ancestors.

This essence began its creation on the May 2020 Full Moon in Scorpio and was completed on Mother’s Day a few days after. Datura is a sacred guardian plant spirit for me on the Poison Path, a study of the energetic properties and sacred relationships that come through journeying with poisonous plants.
